Newton at Home
Looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity but have limited time to spare? Grocery shopping for a Newton senior (either accompanied by the senior or not) might be what you've been looking for. Newton at Home is a membership organization created to provide Newton seniors with support and social connections that help them remain in their homes as they age. Many of the more than 200 members no longer drive and depend on volunteers to take them to supermarkets or to do the grocery shopping for them, particularly during the covid19 crisis. You provide this service when convenient for you and the senior involved. If you are able to give a few hours during the week, please sign up for an opportunity to assist a Newton senior. You will be rewarded by meeting some of the most remarkable Newton residents while you perform a vital community service. For more information and no obligation whatsoever, call Newton at Home at 617-795-2560.
