ORGANIZATION: Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care

Solace House, a center for grief and healing near 81st and State Line Rd., is looking for an experienced carpenter who can do a carpentry project on site. The grief support group rooms there all have a specific theme. In the Harbor Room, there is a plywood bench shaped like a boat sticking out of the wall. They would like someone to create some storage inside it by creating "port holes" or devising another way. This is a one-time need and the date and time are flexible. Description

Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit organization offering a range of services for people of all ages and at any stage of serious illness. We've been providing comfort and care to the seriously ill and their families in the greater Kansas City area since 1980.

By providing both hospice and palliative care, we are able to assist patients and their loved ones at any time following a serious diagnosis. Hospice is provided when the focus is primarily on comfort; palliative care is provided when it is too early for hospice care and the patient may be seeking treatment aimed at cure.
