Could you spare a Saturday morning each month to come cheer up our elderly assisted living residents at Chateau Des Mons, part of The Julia Temple Healthcare Center? Come pass out donuts and coffee, room to room! This is a great position for families, couples, groups and individuals! You commit to one Saturday morning each month (every Saturday of the month is currently open, since this is a new program), and arrive at our center around 9:30am. Load up the cart with donuts, napkins, and some hot drinks, and go room to room in our long-term care unit, offering our residents a sweet treat and little friendly conversation. Expect to be done at 10:30 or 11am. All application/orientation/background check can be done online, and you can begin volunteering in a week! We are a long-term care facility for those struggling with dementia as well as a short-term rehabilitation residence for those requiring therapy to return home.
