Family Fun Day Face Painting!

Greetings from Parents Place!

Thanks for your interest in volunteering for Family Fun Day.

Our 5th Annual Parents Place Family Fun Day. Over 450 families have signed up so far! Families with young children birth through five come and we convert our parking lot into a fun zone complete with toddler bounce house, tasty treats, live music, face painting, and 20 community partner booths.

Volunteer Details:

  • Parents Place Family Fun Day
  • Sunday, April 28, 2019
  • Event time: 11-1:30pm
  • Location: 200 Channing Ave (Corner of Emerson and Channing, a block from Whole Food Palo Alto)
  • Voluntee shifts: 8:30-12 and 11:30-3:30pm. Or all day if you need lots of Community Service Hours

Duties include: face painting, helping kiddos (under 5) at the vendors booths, helping with the registration booth, giving out flyers, setting up tables and chairs, passing out stickers, delivering water to exhibitor tables, etc. Community Service Hours Granted!

About Family Fun Day: Celebrate families and young children at Parents Place Family Fun Day on Sunday, April 28th! Bounce in our toddler fun zone, rock out to live music, sample a tasty treat, and play at one of the many children’s activity tables, sponsored by our community partners. Meet our parenting experts and pop into one of our 20-minute mini-workshops on everything from mindfulness to tantrum tips, while your children enjoy our playroom. FREE for kids of all ages (and their grown-ups too!). Free Community Event!

About Parents Place: Parents Place is the Bay Area's leading family resource center. We support families and caregivers of babies, children, and teens. Parents Place experts offer parent and teacher workshops, coaching and consultation, services for expectant and new parents, and baby and me classes. Jewish Family and Children's Services exists to provide professional and volunteer services for the purposes of developing, restoring, and maintaining the competency of families and individuals of all ages. Traditionally, Jewish Family and Children's agencies carry a special responsibility within the Jewish community for reaching out to children, the aged, the alienated, and the dependent, and for the resettlement and acculturation of refugees and immigrants. As part of the network of Jewish community services, the Agency helps promote Jewish continuity through the provision of preventive, educational, therapeutic, and supportive services, within the context of historic Jewish values, emphasizing inter-generational ties and community responsibility.
