Administrative Volunteering in Hospice

Are you looking to get involved and make a difference in your community?

We at Kindred Hospice hold a high belief in volunteerism and love to get people involved in the community in what ever ways suite them. We have opportunities for direct patient care volunteers, as well as administrative help. We understand that people love to give back but may not be comfortable with dealing with direct patient care. The time and commitment is completely up to you. Ideally we would like for someone to come in 2-3 times a month for a couple of hours at a time. Of course, if a volunteer wishes to volunteer more, we would never discourage!

As an administrative volunteer, one may:

• assist with charts of life
• make calls to patient families to check in
• assist office staff with answering phone calls
• assist with filing and general paperwork
• provide ideas or insight into projects going on in the office
• Help with the "We Honor Veterans" Program
