Our volunteer "Lab Techs" help families explore the museum’s main exhibit floor, making sure everyone has an educational and safe visit.

Volunteers will offer great guest service by answering visitors’ questions, sharing knowledge of the Discovery Center’s offerings, and striving to ensure that each visitor's experience is enjoyable. Volunteers will also engage visitors in their exploration of museum exhibits, encouraging safe and meaningful play.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 16 years old.
  • Able to commit for a three-month time period, with a minimum of one 3.5 hour shift per week.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Interest in science, engineering, mathematics or education and a motivation to learn more.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, and reliability.
  • Willingness to work with visitors of all ages and levels of interest or ability.
