We are looking for a male volunteer to mentor a 12-year-old refugee youth from Sudan who was placed in a foster home in Hopkins, in the summer of 2018. From his mentoring referral, the case manager shared the following: The youth has been in the home since arrival. He does not like living out in the country very much because he wants to be able to go out and be social. He wants to be able to make more friends and have more people to talk to than just the people in the home. He is eager to learn. He likes soccer and volleyball. He enjoys any activity where he is able to engage with others. Born in Sudan, he fled Sudan due to a terrorist group attacking his village. He could not return home due to continued attacks. He has very good English skills for a new arrival.
