We are looking for a male volunteer to mentor a 20-year-old refugee from Liberia who is living in a foster home (but as an independent living placement) in Belding. In his mentoring referral, his case manager shared the following: This youth is a pleasant, outgoing young man. He enjoys his placement in Belding and has settled into that community. He loves playing soccer and riding his bike around town. He is a hard worker, and enjoys working with his hands. He is interested in aviation and aircraft mechanics, and has talked about wanting to fix missionary planes when he is older. His older brother has been absent from his life since they arrived in the US, and the youth really wants to repair that relationship. While he doesn’t want a mentor to replace his brother, he is really seeking a mentor who will be a "big brother" for him, and be someone he can hang out with and ask for advice from.
