Reiman Gardens is currently recruiting for several volunteer Membership Assistant positions to engage with the public. Membership Assistants help during members’ events with registration, oversee "Member Sign Up" tables sporadically throughout the year, and may assist with monthly bulk mailings.

Membership Assistants who solicit memberships should be friendly, outgoing, and proactive in approaching garden visitors and members from a wide demographic spectrum. These volunteers will receive formal training from the Grant, Sponsorship and Membership Coordinator. Membership Assistants will then have a conversational knowledge of the Reiman Gardens membership program and be ready to engage visitors about membership levels and benefits with the ultimate goal of converting the casual visitor into a happy, enthusiastic Reiman Gardens member.

Volunteers are needed to help during monthly events including some weekends and evenings. Volunteers should commit to several dates, but will share the schedule with other volunteers. The following dates are currently scheduled for "Member Sign Up" tables and members only events:

• April 27 and April 28, morning/afternoon
• May 10, morning/afternoon/evening
• June 8, morning/afternoon
• July 13 and July 14, morning/afternoon
• August 9, late morning/early afternoon
• September 7, morning/afternoon
• October 19 and October 20, late afternoon/early evening
• November 21-December 26 Thursdays, evening

This opportunity is great for individuals, couples or families. Volunteers may need to be outside (with shade) or sitting down for extended periods of time. Shifts are 1.5-2.5 hours long.
