Volunteer Registration is open for the 53rd Anniversary Visionary Awards Dinner and Silent Auction. Help us celebrate those who have made a valuable impact on the Asian Pacific American (APA) community through their artistic excellence and continued support of APA performing arts!
Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet and connect with others in the industry and the community. Volunteer opportunities include assistance with greeting, silent auction, dinner ushering, or set-up/staging.

All volunteers must train before the event on April 15th. Training will take place at East West Players' David Henry Hwang Theatre (120 Judge John Aiso St., Los Angeles, CA 90012). Volunteers can choose to train on either April 11th, 7pm-9pm, or April 13th, from 10am to noon. After the Saturday training, we also ask folks to stay and volunteer two hours of their time to help with packing the truck, and setting up/staging.

As the nation's premier Asian American theatre organization, East West Players produces outstanding works and educational programs that give voice to the Asian Pacific American experience.
Description
Established in 1965, East West Players has been called the nation's pre-eminent Asian American theater troupe (New York Times 12/16/01) for our award-winning productions blending Eastern and Western movement, costumes, language, and music. EWP has premiered over 100 plays and musicals about the Asian Pacific American experience and has held over 1,000 readings and workshops. Our emphasis is on building bridges between East and West, and one measure of our success is an audience of 56% Asians and a remarkable 44% non-Asian attendance. Over seventy-five percent of all Asian Pacific performers in the acting unions living in Los Angeles have worked at EWP. East West Players has provided training and opportunities to many emerging and professional artists who have gone on win Tony Awards, Obie Awards, Emmy Awards, Theatre L.A. Ovation Awards, and Academy Awards.

- Volunteers can choose to train on either April 11th, at 7pm-9pm, or April 13th, from 10am to noon. After the Saturday training, we also ask folks to stay and volunteer two hours of their time to help with packing the truck, and setting up/staging.
- Event is black tie optional/cocktail preferred. Please no jeans or sneakers. Do dress comfortably as volunteers will be on their feet for a majority of the day. All volunteers will receive a comp ticket for our main stage production of "Mamma Mia!".
