Our Administrative office and Providence Spirituality & Conference Center could use some volunteers to welcome visitors and staff. This is a typical reception type position. The volunteer will be answering the phone and have a relatively quiet time, though there are opportunities to assist the Advancement office with small tasks while at the desk. Also, there are often visitors who will stop by and need directions to a particular building on campus.
We offer full training and campus maps!

Mission Statement
The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana are committed to creating positive change in the world. We can not do this alone. We invite volunteers to help us.
Description
Local ministries/projects include:
Providence Health Care provides health services to the elderly. Visit with an elder sister, attend mass with her, or volunteer to help move sisters when they need advanced care.
Providence Food Pantry provides food to the economically poor. The food pantry is financed by donations and staffed by volunteers.
White Violet Center for Eco-Justice focuses on the areas of organic agriculture, eco-justice education, and social advocacy. Volunteer with our alpacas or help skirt their fiber into yarn!
Providence Center is the welcoming center for the the Sisters of Providence and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. It is home to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence, the Heritage Room, and Gift Shop. Pilgrimages, tours, facilities rental, workshops, programs and retreats are all offered through the center. We could use volunteer tour guides!
Internet Technology Assist the sisters with basic word processing and cell phone questions.
