Looking for volunteers to socialize with our patients. Give the gift of your presence. Volunteers offer the gifts of time to patients and families. Sometimes that gift is the simple act of listening to life stories, reading from a favorite book, or watching TV. Opportunities include Patient Support, Bereavement, Administrative Support (help out in the office), and Veteran to Veteran.
Whether you volunteer behind the scenes at our local office or one-on-one with the families, you'll be joining fellow volunteers helping families navigate life's closing chapters. The Cedar Falls office services a wide area including Tama, Marshall, Hardin, Grundy, Black Hawk, Buchanan, Butler, Bremer, and Fayette counties. We're thankful when musicians, therapy pet owners, or those with a heart for service share their talents and companionship.
Orientation, training, and mentoring provided. Please reach out for more information. We work with your schedule and availability.

Description
Hospice offers peace and comfort to patients and their families by reducing the stress, pain and other symptoms of a serious illness. Hospice care includes medical, emotional, social and spiritual support.
Many believe hospice is only for the final days or hours of life. This is not true. Hospice is not about dying; it's about helping patients and their families live as well as they can when life expectancy is limited.
