Eco-Cycle is excited to be teaming up with the city of Longmont to go for another year of Zero Waste at it's Cinco de Mayo event at Roosevelt Park in Longmont CO on Saturday May 4th. This 17th edition event celebrates culture and honors the health of the Longmont community. Each year thousands of people gather to join in the celebration and enjoy the food, shopping, live entertainment, car show, chihuhua beauty contest and so much more!
After past years success of diverting up to 81% of materials and achieving amazing volunteer participation, we will be working hard to reach an 85% diversion rate at this year's event! Our success hinges on volunteers like YOU to help out.
Volunteering at one of Eco-Cycle's events is fun and easy. You'll be one of our Zero Waste Station "Goalies", making sure that event-goers put all their waste in the right place. Volunteers will be provided with light snacks and breaks to go grab food from event vendors.
