Legal Aid at Work will be holding its one signature fundraising event this coming May 8th and will need several volunteers to make it a success. This Annual Dinner is held at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco beginning with a 6 pm reception and ending around 9 pm or TBD.
Volunteers have a few key roles during the span of the evening:
- Lay out evening programs, pens, and gifts at each table prior to the event starting.
- Checking in guests at the doors.
- Assisting guests: finding their seats, etc.
- Clean up: gathering leftover wine bottles, pens, and gifts from each table.
- Possibly other tasks; TBD.
The time commitment for the event will be from around 4PM-9:30PM. An earlier "shift" might be needed earlier in the afternoon from 2:30PM-5PM TBD. There will be an orientation, lasting an hour, a few days before the event for confirmed volunteers which will be held at Legal Aid at Work’s offices in downtown San Francisco. Attendance is recommended as the different tasks volunteers will take on will be reviewed. There will also be on-site training the day of the event for those not able to attend orientation. All volunteers will be provided with dinner. Event viewing may range from watching the live-feed to standing to last minute open seats.
