The Polar Plunge is one of SONC/NV's signature fundraising events, and has become an annual tradition at "The Lake." Come join the fun as costumed participants splash into the chilly waters of Lake Tahoe to prove that a little cold water can't stop wacky exuberance in an effort to raise funds for Special Olympics Northern California & Nevada. Volunteers make this event special, as they help with set-up, registration of participants, and event organization, starting at 9 AM. Join the "Post-Plunge Party" at Montbleu where everyone can warm up, enjoy some food, participate in a raffle, and see who receives the Plunge awards.
Volunteer shifts run from 9 AM to 1 PM at Zephyr Cove, or Noon to 4 PM. At Montbleu Resort.
Volunteers are encouraged to dress in fun costumes and to wear comfortable footwear. Food will be provided for all volunteers.
