Thank you for your commitment to become a JA Finance Park Virtual Program Volunteer!
Our JA Finance Park Virtual (JA FPV) Program helps 12th grade students build a foundation to make intelligent lifelong financial decisions. As a JA classroom leader, your volunteer experience will bring an unbelievable amount of added educational value within the classrooms of high school seniors throughout Central Florida.
This opportunity is to volunteer to serve as a guest speaker at high schools throughout Orange County. 80 volunteers are needed to deliver our FPV presentation (FPV PowerPoint presentation provided to volunteer before the scheduled date) on Thursday, September 12, 2019. Our online registration tool makes it simple for the volunteer to choose the location of the high school and time slots that work the best for them. The topic for our upcoming date is Paying for Postsecondary Education.
Dates / Times:
- Thursday, September 12, 2019
- Time slot/s of your choice between 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Each class period is about 50 minutes in length; signing up for more than one class is encouraged!
Location:
- High School of your choice in Orange County.
Work Description:
- A PPT (and notes/script) is provided to you when signing up - no additional training is required.
- We encourage volunteers from all backgrounds and levels of experience to make the presentation their own.
- Ideal for individuals wanting to make an impact on rising graduates, wanting to hone their presentation skills, or become more at ease with public speaking in general.
- When you access our online sign-up, you’ll be able to download the deck (PowerPoint presentation). Then, you’ll choose a specific school and class period(s) that best suit(s) your availability.
What happens after I sign up? After you sign up, you will receive a follow-up email. It will include next steps to complete the two required online registration forms - 1. JACF Volunteer Registration Form and 2. Orange County Public School ADDitions form. It is important you complete these next steps as soon as possible, so you are cleared to enter the school of your choosing.
