DELIVER GROCERIES TO HOME BOUND SENIORS
Make a real difference in a life! This an ongoing opportunity to deliver groceries to home bound seniors. You can be the highlight in a person’s day. Duties are on weekdays and include: packing grocery bags, loading a vehicle, and either driving or riding along with another person to pre-assigned homes delivering groceries.
The gift of your time will be given back to you a hundred-fold when you step into a senior’s home with a bag of groceries and get a chance to learn about life from those who have lived it.
Please understand that a background check is required for this special volunteer position.
Delivery routes are near the Marillac Social Center at 212 S Francisco Ave in Garfield Park. A full delivery route runs between 2 to 3 hours and up to 5-8 seniors per day. Convenient scheduling is available.
