The Denver Preschool Program-in collaboration with the Colorado State Library, Serve Colorado, Mile High United Way, Channel7, as well as Colorado’s public and military libraries-is excited to once again host the annual One Book Colorado, A Book for Every 4-Year-Old event April 8-22, 2019.
One Book Colorado (OBCO) is a statewide program for preschoolers that focuses on the importance of reading with young children. The program ensures that every Colorado 4-year-old receives a book of his/her very own. Now in its eighth year, One Book Colorado will provide more than 75,000 copies of the same book across the state this spring!
Each year during OBCO, several public preschool readings of the selected book are held at various venues through-out Denver during the event period. The book is bilingual, so is read in English and Spanish. We are seeking a Spanish speaker to read the book with a pre-selected English reader for this event/venue.
