Temporary Gallery Hosts are friendly, positive, enthusiastic, and flexible volunteers who recognize the needs of our guests and help ensure they have an enjoyable experience. They provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, helping guests plan their visit, providing information as the guest transitions through the exhibit, answering questions regarding content, and facilitating educational experiences. This position roams through the gallery with the intent and purpose of interacting with museum guests during their visit.

As a Temporary Exhibit Gallery Host, you will get to learn about new subjects based on which temporary exhibits the History Colorado Center opens. Each exhibit will relate to Colorado history. Gallery Hosts will train for all exhibits and will facilitate multiple exhibits when they are running concurrently.

Duties Include:

Answer questions and provide assistance to museum visitors

Help facilitate the visitor experience

Assist guests through exhibit interactive(s)--if there are any

Maintain cleanliness and organization of exhibit and interactive(s)--if there are any

Lead informal/impromptu tours of the exhibit

Desired Skills:

Ability to learn about new topics as each exhibit will change (training will be provided)

Excellent customer service skills

Passion for history and sharing with others

Project a friendly and helpful presence

Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
