Come join the Lakewold Gardens horticulture team on our monthly volunteer work party and have fun outdoors!
On Earth Day 2019, we will be tackling two important projects in the gardens:

  • Heading down to the Gravelly Lake beach and continue removal of invasive species
  • Clearing up the north fence line in preparation for a new nursery bed
All tools and training will be provided. Please dress for the weather and be ready to have fun!

Description

Located in Lakewood, WA, Lakewold is a 10-acre non-profit public garden and National Historic Site. Lakewold offers landscape architecture by Thomas Church, unique Garden Rooms, a large collection of rare and native plants, State Champion trees, over 900 rhododendrons, and 30 Japanese maples.

Lakewold's Georgian style mansion and historic architecture complete the gardens, where visitors can step back in time to an elegant past or enjoy a relaxing moment to contemplate the future.

An inspirational experience where generations of family can discover common ground through the beauty of the garden.
