Connections are what give us a sense of community, and feeling like we belong to a community, fosters our wellbeing. The Friendly Visitor Program enables our LGBTQ+ elders to develop a stronger sense of community through regular visits with trained volunteers. We match volunteers with our amazing elders for ongoing social, emotional and some practical support. Since friendships don’t just happen, we ask our volunteers to commit at least a year to the program and visit their community member twice a month.
