Jolly Rovers Trail Crew Inc.

Ever want to join a trail crew? Are you looking for a way to directly support our parks with hard work and creativity? This Spring we are offering two weekends of FREE workshops at the Mianus River Gorge Preserve to become trained in the craft of trail building and join our organizations trail crew based in New York. We proudly open crew membership to all individuals able to make the commitment to learn the skills essential to the work we do to create sustainable access in the parks we love.

Our specialty is in the art of stonework, and as a result these trainings are required to become a full crew member with our organization. The first weekend workshop will be held on April 27-28 and will focus on learning how to use basic trail tools as well as stone splitting and shaping. The second workshop will be held on May 25-26 and will focus on stone setting and rigging. All 4 workshops are necessary to join the crew and while we encourage everyone to try their best to make these dates, if one or two of these days don't work for your schedule we can be flexible in offering you training on another weekend when we are working.

Once trained in the craft you will be amazed at what you and the rest of your fellow crew members can build. What we leave behind is a legacy that will be enjoyed by the public for centuries to come; we hope that you will join us on this journey.
