The Auxiliary of Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking members for our Board of Directors. The board oversees the Auxiliary's budget and provides funding for the following:
- Discharge with Dignity provides clothes, shoes, and bus tokens for unhoused patients.
- Gas gift cards for NICU families traveling from outside the Bay Area.
- Hotel stays for families outside of the Bay Area so they can stay close to their hospitalized family members.
- Amenities for patients like activities books, reading glasses, quiet kits, and more.
- Snacks for the NICU parent lounge.
- Scholarships for students who are pursuing a degree in a medical field.
The focus of the board in 2023 will be raising outside funds so we can continue to enhance the patient experience at Good Samaritan Hospital for years to come.
The Auxiliary of Good Samaritan Hospital is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. As a charitable, non-profit organization, The Auxiliary's mission is to provide supplemental support and service to enhance the patient experience at Good Samaritan Hospital. The Auxiliary promotes healing, compassion & comfort when the hospital’s patients and families need it most. The Auxiliary of Good Samaritan Hospital is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a team of volunteers who help support and enhance the quality of care provided at Good Samaritan and Mission Oaks hospitals.

- Orientation or Training
- The board meets once a month for two hours. In addition, board members may meet as separate committees in between monthly meetings. Meetings are in-person and via Zoom. Board members serve a two-year term.
- We are looking for general board members, secretary, and president-elect. New board members will be confirmed at our annual meeting in December and will join the board in January2023.
