RIF has partnered with a property development company that builds affordable housing and has recognized the critical importance of literacy for the families they serve. They’ve partnered with us to place RIF Reading Rooms in each of their new builds. One of their buildings in the Bronx is getting ready to open their reading room. The bookshelves have recently been installed and we're now looking for volunteer support.

The service project opportunity is for 5-10 volunteers for 1-2 hours. Volunteer Duties will include: unpacking boxes of books, placing bookplate stickers within the books, and organizing the books on the shelves. This would be a great project for a youth service or honor society organization, a girl scout troop or civic club like Kiwanis or Rotary! Even a family volunteer activity!

This will make some area families very happy and arm them with great literacy resources!
