ORGANIZATION: WorkingAbroad Projects

  • 63 people are interested

We are looking for a remote Intern to join the WorkingAbroad team for a period of 3 months, with the potential to extend for up to 6 months. This internship is a great opportunity to gain work experience with an organisation dedicated to arranging volunteer placements abroad in the wildlife conservation, environmental and development sectors.

Opportunities exist to work on:

  • Writing content for our blog and website
  • NGO and Volunteer Organisation research
  • Digital Marketing and communications
  • Researching and communicating with academic institutions, press contacts, online communities and so on

Requirements:

Ideally we are seeking someone with excellent writing and IT/Internet skills to help us with all aspects of communications, marketing and web presence for WorkingAbroad.com. We have recently launched a new design for our website and are particularly looking for an intern to help with content writing and research to help us promote our new look site around the web.

In addition, we may require the Intern to research and communicate with academic institutions, press & PR contacts, online communities, wildlife conservation and environmental groups, as well as NGOs & volunteering abroad organisations, to spread awareness of our website, our latest news articles and press releases, our online volunteering database and our volunteer programmes around the world.

If you have a University degree (or are currently studying) that is an added bonus. We also require fluency in English with excellent writing skills. Lastly, as this position requires you to work from home - on your own computer - we need an intern that can work independently and who is self-motivated. This position is open to residents of any country, we will provide all training and guidance by email/Skype.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to gain experience in the domain of conservation/social work and to learn about how international volunteer organisations are run - and who is looking for an internship position such as this to boost their CV.

The internship is a non-salaried position.

Flexibility with days, but ideally at least 10 hours a week.

If you are interested in applying please forward your CV along with a covering letter explaining why you feel you would be the right person for this internship to victoria.mcneil@workingabroad.com
