Art Connection-RI is looking for a creative, passionate, and strong community leader to serve as Treasurer and Board Member.

As a Board Member you will be asked to oversee the finances of Art Connection-RI and help to carry out the mission of making original artworks by local artists available to those without art in their daily lives. The Treasurer is not asked to do bookkeeping or accounting. We are looking for a Treasurer to help Art Connection-RI keep up to date with the best practices.

Art Connection-RI invites individuals who love art or want to learn more about it, to join our Board. We are looking for an individual with financial experience and nonprofit background willing to commit time for monthly board meetings, planning sessions, and special events.

On what used to be bare walls of community health clinics, child protection agencies, and shelters, there are now beautiful visual works of art to help make some of life’s most difficult moments easier to bear for thousands of our neighbors.

Talk with us to see if your interest in serving a nonprofit meshes with our mission of bringing art to those who don't have the comfort and beauty of art in their daily lives.

About The Art Connection-RI

36 Park Place, #2, Pawtucket, RI 02860, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to connect artists and donors to social benefit organizations through the placement of original artwork to enrich the lives of the staff and people they serve.

Description

TAC-RI connects artists and donors to social benefit organizations who might not otherwise be able to acquire original art due to financial restrictions. Though we are in the service of placing artwork into the lives of low-income constituents and staff of clinics, shelters and other community service agencies it is the process by which we operate that modestly reveals our latent mission. Before we curate the donated art into an exuberant presentation we call for a varied sample of staff, volunteers, and patrons - a full representation of the community which the receiving organizations serve - to take part in the decision making process. By way of finding a home for donated artwork, TAC-RI provides a platform for empowered and collective decision making.
