Program DL9PG-L

Date:
Tuesday, April 2nd
Time: 8:30 ‑ 10:00 AM (there's a 15-minute orientation before the workshop at 8:45 AM)
Volunteer Role: Writing coach

About the program: To understand how telling your own story is critical to both clarifying and achieving your goals, ninth-graders read Paul Griffin’s Ten Mile River, about two homeless friends struggling to separate their identities and envision their futures. Coaches will help students polish their drafts of a personal narrative, inspired by their discussion of the boys’ choices, and the consequences of acting on them.
