You can make a real difference in the lives of homeless and low-income individuals who are ready, willing, and able to find employment and get on a pathway to self-sufficiency.
As a Chrysalis volunteer, you will work directly with men and women as they prepare for, find, and retain employment. By providing job skills training, support, and positive energy, you will empower men and women to overcome barriers to employment and achieve their personal and professional goals. You will play a part in helping more than 2,000 individuals secure employment this year, setting them up with the tools to succeed in the job market for the rest of their lives!
Volunteers help support the Chrysalis program in many ways, including:

Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment. Since 1984, Chrysalis has assisted over 51,000 men and women regain their dignity and becoming self-sufficient through employment opportunities. Chrysalis operates three centers that are located where homelessness and poverty are most pervasive: on Skid Row in Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and in the Pacoima area of the San Fernando Valley. Chrysalis' philosophy is that a steady job is the single most important step in a person's transition out of poverty and onto a pathway to long-term self-sufficiency. Through one-on-one Case Management, access to job-seeking resources and supportive services provided by volunteers, Chrysalis offers a hand up, rather than a hand out, to empower its clients to complete a self-directed job search.
Chrysalis assists homeless and low-income individuals in securing employment by providing a program of classes on job search skills, job search resources (including computers, phones, resume assistance, etc.), and one on one case management with an Employment Specialist.
We'll work with your schedule.
