Overview
Make a positive impact in the lives of 5th - 8th grade students in under served communities by leading a fun and interactive youth development program that teaches youth about the importance of volunteering and leadership.

Structure
Flexible - volunteers have the option to volunteer one time only, or continuously

Day / Time

  • Wednesdays - Our opportunities are available every Wednesday from March 2019 - late June 2019
  • Option to commit anywhere between 1-5 hours per session depending on the volunteer's interest and availability.
  • Times:
    • Wednesdays 1 PM - 3 PM

  • Beasley Academic Center

Responsibilities

  • Lead program activities for a classroom of 5th - 8th grade students
    • A pre-established curriculum will be provided, but volunteers will have flexibility to add their own relevant activities if they would like to do so
  • Facilitate classroom discussions and help students have fun and be engaged while learning the program content
  • Maintain regular communication with the schools’ administrators and Season to Soar’s Leadership Team
  • Must have reliable transportation and be a dependable person
