Midwest HeArt is seeking a qualified candidate for an Office Assistant Intern for a May-August internship with the possibility of being considered for the Fall. Office location is in Downtown Toledo.

The internship at the Midwest HeArt provided opportunities to expand on program development, networking, refugee relations and non-profit structure. Also, an opportunity to expand on written and oral communication skills and knowledge of general office procedures.

This position will be under the direction of President/Operations Director. The intern will administrative support: creating and maintaining databases, researching and compiling data, proofreading, event planning projects, and other projects as assigned.

Specific duties and Responsibilities:
(The duties of this role are inclusive of, but not limited to the following)

• Create and maintain databases
• Research and compile data: contact informations, new stories, and other related items
• Process incoming and outgoing correspondences/memos
• Work on special projects as assigned

• Multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
• Attention to detail is vital

• College student preferred seeking volunteer/internship hours.
• Internships are unpaid. Must commit to May-August. Working hours are negotiable.
• Laptop available for use in office only or intern is welcomed to bring own laptop.
