Mission Statement
The mission of Main Line Health HomeCare & Hospice is to promote and maintain the independence and well-being of individuals and families in the Main Line Health System by bringing to the home a coordinated and comprehensive array of health services and products that meet their care needs.
Description
Hospice is not a place, but a concept. It is recognized as the model of quality, compassionate health care for people facing a life-limiting illness.
Our approach to hospice care is holistic. It recognizes not just the needs of the patient, but of the entire family. We focus on caring, not curing.
Our hospice volunteers are an integral part of our team- providing the gift of time and themselves to our patients, their families, our team and hospice program.
We are committed to providing compassionate, respectful care that maintains our patient’s dignity. Services are individually tailored to the patient’s needs and wishes. Whenever possible, care is provided where most people prefer to be - at home. That can mean the patient’s residence, the home of a family member or friend, a life care community, nursing home or hospital. Volunteers visit patients in any an all of these settings, providing companionship to a pateint
We serve patients in Delaware, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties and are looking for volunteers across those counties. Free and convenient training as well as on-going support is provided.
