Raising Beautiful Butterflies is looking for professionals to join their Board of Directors. We are seeking qualified candidates who have a passion to make an impact in their community.
Raising Beautiful Butterflies, Inc., a 501c3 dedicated to empowering a generation of young queens, to be bold, authentic leaders in their lives, school and communities by transforming self-doubt in to self-love through dialogue about things that matter Every day. Young queens are bombarded with messages in the media that attack what she is NOT and we work every day to help her love the skin SHE IS IN and who SHE IS; to see that in herself and inspire that in others.
Qualifications:
-A strong supporter of the organization's mission
-Ability to attend monthly board meetings in-person as well as periodic fundraising or related meetings
-Effective interpersonal relationship skills including leadership and communication skills
-Fundraising experience desirable, but not required
Attend board and committee meetings, functions, such as special events. Be informed about the organization's mission, service, policies and programs. Review agenda and supporting materials prior to the meeting. Serve on special committees and offer to take on special assignments. Inform others about the organization. Follow conflict of interest and confidentiality policies. Assist the board in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities, such as reviewing the monthly and annual financial statements and fundraising. Be an ambassador for the organization.

Description
Raising BeYOUtiful Butterflies, is a girls mentoring and empowerment development program created to disrupt the cycles of poverty, prevent teen pregnancy, and build self-esteem and confidence by uplifting, empowering, and educating young girls between the ages of 4-21. Our mission is to educate and empower girls by inspiring them to recognize and embrace their own potential to be confident, self-sufficient, unique, determined, and powerful in their lives as well as in their communities, while encouraging sisterhood.
Raising BeYOUtiful Butterflies offers a wide range of programs catering to the unique needs of girls, empowering them and helping them thrive, succeed, and excel throughout their lives. In our work with girls, Raising BeYOUtiful Butterflies aim is nothing less than empowerment. Raising BeYOUtiful Butterflies defines an empowered girl as someone who knows her strengths and capabilities, isn’t afraid to embrace them, an active learner in school, a confident actor in her family and community, and ready to take on her biggest dreams. She believes in herself, knows her possibilities are endless, and lives in a community where she is treated equally, where parents, peers, and role models supports her growth and her goals.
