Housing Transitions Program at Catholic Charities is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented volunteer to help the program accurately capture the powerful work they are doing.

Position Title: Data Entry Specialist

Population Served: Self-identified women experiencing homelessness

Position Description: The Data Entry Specialist will support the Housing Transition Team to serve more self-identified women experiencing homelessness and demonstrate the efficacy of services by assisting with data entry and reports required by funders and the board.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input data collected in client service meetings into agency Salesforce database
  • Accurately input data collected in community Service Point HMIS database system
  • Ensure that all required data fields are completed and correct; work with case managers to find missing information for input
  • Monitor data collection and input deadlines and ensure data completed as required
  • Work with HTP manager to compile information for needed reports to funders and to complete grant applications for new funding
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Completed Catholic Charities Volunteer Application and background check
  • Ability to type 50 wpm or more
  • Experience working with computer databases
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Able to work effectively in a shared work environment that can include conversations, noise and other distractions
  • Experience with applications such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook
  • Weekday, daytime availability

Supervisor: Jennifer Lucena

Time Commitment (include start/end date):

10-15 hours per week
During normal business hours (M-F, 8:30am-5:00pm)
