Position: Fundraising Committee Member

Organization: The Chrysalis Program

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 1-4 Hours per Month

Position Overview:

The Chrysalis Program is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our dynamic Fundraising Committee. As a Fundraising Committee Member, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to empower young girls and women through various fundraising initiatives. If you have a flair for creativity, a passion for community impact, and a drive to make a difference, we invite you to be a part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Campaign Planning and Execution:

    • Collaborate with committee members to plan and execute fundraising campaigns aligned with organizational goals.
    • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives.
  2. Donor Engagement:

    • Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors.
    • Participate in outreach efforts to engage current and potential donors.
  3. Event Coordination:

    • Contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring seamless coordination and a positive participant experience.
    • Explore new event ideas to diversify fundraising efforts.
  4. Grant Writing Support:

    • Collaborate with the grant writing team to contribute insights and information for grant applications.
    • Assist in crafting compelling narratives to secure funding.
  5. Community Partnerships:

    • Identify and explore potential partnerships with businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in supporting our cause.
    • Foster relationships with local entities to expand our network of supporters.
  6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze fundraising data to measure the success of campaigns and events.
    • Provide regular reports to the committee on fundraising performance.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Description

The Chrysalis Program seeks to reduce or eliminate the effects of childhood trauma for African American girls and their families on Chicago's South Side and beyond.

The Chrysalis Program creates safe spaces for girls to heal, learn and grow by offering Wellness Workshops, Counseling, Life Skill Classes, Creative Arts Lessons, Parent Classes, Enrichment Field Trips, Mentorship and Community Events.

​The Chrysalis Program is unique because it takes a holistic approach to empowering; teaching both life skills and coping skills that gradually improves the quality of life for participants and their families.
