New Century Hospice is always looking for volunteers to help support our patients and their families! We serve patients in facilities, as well as homes, across the Westminster area.
Volunteers can do direct patient care by providing companionship through conversation, reading a book out loud, or even playing music. Other volunteer duties can include going grocery shopping or staying at home with the patient so caregivers can run errands or take a break. If patient care is not your interest, we can always use help in our office answering phones or helping with other administrative tasks.
Being a volunteer is like being an employee; volunteers must undergo a background check, drug test, TB screening and orientation. Once aboard, volunteers can make their own schedules and start building connections with patients and families!
We consider volunteers as part of the team and will support you and ensure your experience as a volunteer is great! Come join us and make a difference in the lives of our patients!

- We would like our volunteers to commit to about 4 hours a month. We understand life happens and are always very flexible! Most volunteers serve once a week, once every other week, or once a month.
- We require two rounds of TB screening and a drug test. There's no cost to volunteers for any drug screening or background checks. Volunteers need to have their own transportation with up-to-date auto insurance. Mileage is not reimbursed.
