During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Join us as we plant thousands of trees and shrubs along the Red River!
Development and cultural practices have prevented natural regeneration of trees along the banks of the river. Planting trees in key areas along the Red creates a buffer to maintain riverbank stability, encourage the growth of native plants, improve water quality, and provide habitat for river wildlife. Trees reduce air pollution, cool the atmosphere, prevent soil erosion ease the severity of floods and decrease maintenance costs of roads and parking areas.
Volunteers will be digging holes, planting trees and shrubs, mulching and water.

To advocate safe and sustainable use of the Red River of the North in Fargo, ND - Moorhead, MN (F-M).
River Keepers is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization advocating safe and sustainable use of the Red River of the North through workshops, youth service-learning projects and advocacy. We work "hand-in hand" with civic, corporate and political leaders, local watershed groups and the public at-large. River Keepers grew from a desire to rediscover the Red River’s heritage, and to teach people to again appreciate the Red as a living River.
