If you have a sweet, mellow, and friendly dog, our elderly patients at The Julia Temple Healthcare Center would love to meet him or her! We specialize in memory care (dementia), and there are some people who only light up when there are animals around. Your dog needs to be current in vaccinations, and needs to complete a short "pet interview" with our activities director. You, as your pet's handler, would need to complete a volunteer application, training/orientation, and background check (all online). We would prefer to see you and your dog the same time each week, but we are flexible with scheduling, and if this isn't possible, I'm sure we can find something else that works!
