Are you a people person? Are you interested in going into the field of nursing? Do you know the power that a smile and some friendly conversation can have on healing? If you answered yes to any of these, we would love to have you come volunteer with the nursing staff at The Center at Northridge, a short-term physical rehabilitation center in Westminster. We are looking for friendly, chatty volunteers to make rounds to our patient rooms, ask how they are doing, lend a compassionate ear, refill water mugs, offer a book or magazine, etc. To be clear: you will not be performing any nursing functions; just being a friendly face to help our nursing staff with patient well-being. Scheduling is completely flexible! Come several times per week or once a month- it's up to you! Application, orientation and background check can be completed online.
