Would you Like to make a difference? Traditions Hospice is looking for Midnight Angels in the Athens and surrounding areas. Midnight Angels are especially trained volunteers who help patients and their families during the last few hours. They are specifically trained to make sure no one is alone during their final journey. We are asking for all volunteers to be vaccinated.

Who will comfort those who are alone at the end of their long journey?
Who will hold the hand of those who grieve for a loved one lost?
Who will give a smile to those who had not had companionship in a long while?

Most avoid death and those who will soon meet it.
Most are afraid to meet a friend they know they will use.
Most cringe at the thought of spending time with a stranger, but not you.

In a patient's darkest hours, you shine a beam of light.
When a family is in the time of greatest need, you are there to help.
A smile, a hand, few hours of time are such precious gifts given....

Mission Statement
At Traditions Hospice, we strive to help our patients and their families by coordinating our care to involve the entire family through counseling, spiritual support, and access to our team of professionals. Terminal illness affects the entire family structure. Adjustment, mental process, self awareness, acceptance and grief are major parts of the dying process. Our trained Social Workers and Therapists are available to work with the entire family in dealing with these issues. We employ fully-qualified staff to help with financial assistance, patient placement, care centers, funeral arrangements and we are always there just to talk.

At Traditions Hospice, we need people like you to donate time, energy and experience in a variety of areas, including community outreach, social events within the community and direct patient contact.
Together, we will be able to help patients and families living with terminal illness. Our volunteers continue to express their feelings of joy and inspiration as they make a difference in the lives of the patients and families they help.
