Zero Waste Station Volunteer
Enjoy the unique atmosphere of special events while educating the public about event recycling/composting efforts.

We are looking for people to join our Zero Waste Team to help at the Earth Day Festival on Sun, April 28th (12-4pm). Shifts are 2hrs in length and will be 11:45am-1:45pm and 1:45-3:45pm. Please specify which shift you are interested in when you reply to the posting.

This event is at the beautiful Leslie Science and Nature Center- 1831 Traver Rd., Ann Arbor.

During the event, volunteers will oversee a three-bin Zero Waste station to educate patrons and guide them in sorting their materials into the correct receptacles for compost, recyclables, or trash. Most importantly we want you to HAVE FUN & FEEL REWARDED!

Thanks to past volunteer success, the Earth Day Festival has been able to achieve zero waste and divert (on average) 91% of the festival's waste from the landfill!

*Upon expressing your interest, we will send you back a confirmation email for the shift you specify. Closer to the event you will receive important volunteer information, logistics, and the meeting locations.
