Everyone knows that women, regardless of age or illness, like their hair to be stylish! We visit our patients wherever they live in the Valley: their own home, group home, or other assisted living facilities. Sometimes, our patients tell their nurses or aides one of the things they miss most is having their hair styled by a professional. As one woman told us as she looked in the mirror "look at that, look at that... my hair looks terrible." To some people, this might be an odd comment coming from someone that had so many serious health issues/concerns. But we understand. Her basic need for style was not being met.

Please consider joining our team as a volunteer hair stylist. As a hospice volunteer, there are minimum requirements before being with a patient: application, TB test, background check and orientation. There are no costs for any of these to you, Haven Hospice handles the expense. We simply need you to do what you do best -make someone feel special.

As noted, our patients are located throughout the Valley so your willingness to go to where they live is very important. Day/times are flexible.
