Do you enjoy meeting and working with people?
We are a non profit cafe that makes it possible for all to eat regardless of means. There are various volunteer opportunities at different stations at our community run and supported cafe.
Host/hostess, servers, beverage counter attendants, bussers, runners, food preparation, dishwashing, etc. We do it all and have fun doing it! There are opportunities for both individuals and small groups, organizations, clubs, and businesses to help out and serve together. We particularly need help on Saturdays with expanding our pool of volunteers.
Tuesdays - Friday’s 10:15--2:15pm
Saturday’s 8:00am -12:30pm ,

Mission Statement
Knead Community Café is a unique gathering place that nourishes both body and soul. Offering meals that are pay-what-you-can/pay-it-forward, we provide fresh, wholesome food that is seasoned with love, where all are welcome. Our hope that the café will be a place where strangers become friends and also promote a sense of goodwill among neighbors. That good things may happen when centered around the table.
Description
We are a non-profit community run and supported cafe where people can break bread over a delicious meal. We encourage a partnership with all community members offering those individuals in need of a hand up the opportunity to volunteer in exchange for a great dining experience. By taking care of each other, we believe we are making an investment in our neighborhoods and this world. During covid, provisions are made so that all who need a meal receives one. We safely implement the the highest sanitation procedures so that all who want to serve and eat are safe.
We rely on the generosity of volunteers who want to serve in all capacities at the cafe in addition to offering their talents and treasures in all things non profit including fundraising, event planning, grant writing or other addmistrative tasks.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 16
- volunteer shifts generally consist of 4 hours with cafe service. Opportunities to help with food or cafe prepping or cleaning 2hr shifts.
- Moderate activity required with prolonged standing. Able to follow directions. Follow basics hygiene and food safety instructions. Must be pleasant and like to smile!
