The West Valley Branch Library is seeking teen or adult volunteers to teach a beginning guitar class for elementary school age children. The ideal candidate will be a proficient guitar player who has experience teaching guitar to others. Volunteers must be able to commit to being at the library 1.5 hours per week for the duration of the program (program duration to be determined in conversation with the volunteer). Please consider helping the West Valley Branch promote music literacy among children in our community!

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
