MONDAY NIGHT CHILD CARE
Our life skills classes focus on preparing families for independent living. All guests residing in our transitional housing are required to attend these classes on Monday evenings to learn about budgeting, finance, cooking and a host of other life skills. During these times, we need individuals or small groups to provide care and/or dinner for the children while our adult guests are in life skills classes from 5:45 until 7:30 pm.
A background check is required for child care providers.

Mission Statement
The mission of Family Promise is to provided shelter, meals, case management and educational services to homeless families as well as to promote action and awareness in the community regarding homelessness.
Description
By enlisting the participation of volunteers and local congregations, the organization assists families who have a high probability of achieving independent living. Families receive six to eight weeks of shelter, meals, case management, and other support services. Staff provide ongoing assessment and needed case management, manage the day to day operation of Family Promise, coordinate shelter services, provide training programs for volunteers, and work toward the promotion and expansion of our program. Families are provided daily feedback on their progress by the Family Promise team. Participating congregations open their doors of their facilities to provide the families with meals, a place to sleep, and transportation to and from the church and the Day Center. Many other volunteers help by providing assistance at the Day Center and collecting and delivering donated supplies necessary
