PURPOSE:
We believe no one should go hungry, so we strive to provide hope to local school-aged children who are identified as homeless under the McKinney-Vento Act. We do this through our weekly nutrition program, We’ve Got Your Back, which provides backpacks full of nutritious food to over 1,300 families to ensure a stable food source, enabling students to go to school ready to learn.

**We need a few individuals who are willing to help clean, check, organize, and account for up to 1,400 backpacks each week, so that we can ensure the kids we serve are receiving the correct backpack of food each week.**

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Cleaning each backpack with antibacterial wipes
• Looking for tears and holes; replacing backpacks as needed
• Tagging new backpacks as children are added to the program
• Organizing backpacks by school and numerical order, on the proper cart
• Checking each backpack against the school roster to account for every child

TIME COMMITMENTS:

• Be available for at least one 3 hour shift each week (ideally 2 shifts)
• Shifts available: Monday through Friday
  • 9am - 12pm and 1pm - 4pm

• Long-term volunteers preferred
