Courage Kenny Riders is a therapeutic horseback riding program for children ages 5-21 with physical disabilities and sensory impairments. We offer therapeutic riding sessions on Tuesday evenings at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Stillwater, MN May -early September.
Volunteers can commit to 1-3 classes per night. Classes are each one hour long and will be offered at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30.
WE HOPE TO HAVE 2 SESSIONS AND THESE SESSION DATES WILL BE RESCHEDULED ACCORDING TO COVID-19 GUIDELINES FOR RESUMING OUR ACTIVTIES IN THE COMMUNITY.
*Original dates were May 5- June 30 and July 7- Sept 1. FIRST SESSION START DATE HAS BEEN RESCHDULED TO JUNE 2.
Volunteer roles include Horse Leader, Side Walker and Arena Assistant
Minimum age is 16 years old.
Training is provided.

Description
Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute provides rehabilitation services for people with short- and long-term conditions, injuries and disabilities. Facilities are located in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The Institute’s unique combination of rehabilitation, support and lifestyle services address the needs of the whole person.
We actively seek and value volunteers with diverse perspectives and life experiences. We'll work with you to find a best match for you to give your time and talents.

- Volunteers commit to a minimum of 1 hour per week for an 8 week session.
- Volunteers must be able to walk in loose dirt for 45 minutes- 1 hour. Volunteers must be comfortable around horses.
