This workday is in conjunction with Project Blue River Rescue. Join Kansas City Wildlands team to help remove invasive exotic honeysuckle in the bottomland forest behind the Nature Center, while enjoying the spring beauty of Kansas City's remnant wild lands!
Bonus! Project Blue River Rescue’s famous hot dog lunch and stream team t-shirts will be provided after the workday (while supplies last)!
Tools and equipment will be provided. All volunteers must register in advance by completing online registration. Click here: https://www.tfaforms.com/4726934. If you have a group, please contact Linda Lehrbaum, 816-561-1089 or email linda@bridgingthegap.org.
Please note, this is a large event with hundreds of volunteers joining in from several partnerships. We’ve staggered our start time to allow you to find the KC WildLands team at 8:30.
We apologize that we are not able to offer or sign off on court-mandated community service or disciplinary service.

Mission Statement
Bridging The Gap's mission is to make the Kansas City region sustainable by connecting environment, economy and community.
Description
Bridging The Gap (BTG) educates citizens, businesses and governments about the impact their decisions have on our environment. We help them follow through with direct action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.
BTG does this by working to create awareness of our environment and the need to make our communities sustainable at every level and in all life activities -- in homes, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In all of our work, we seek to create partnerships among governments, businesses, community leaders and individuals to improve our community by making it healthy and sustainable for our future.
