AVP facilitators enjoy an immensely satisfying volunteer opportunity. Facilitating a workshop as part of a team, rather than "teaching" is a unique and powerful experience.

The first step is to take the Basic and Advanced workshops. Every facilitator experiences the AVP workshops firsthand before becoming a facilitator.

AVP workshops are hands-on, fun, activity-based experiences (no note-taking!) in an intensive weekend workshop. AVP helps us explore the power we all have to change hostility and destructiveness into cooperation, community, and justice. Take the workshops for personal growth, or to become a facilitator and bring AVP to community, schools and prisons.

AVP is a multi-cultural organization of volunteers offering interactive workshops that teach skills of non-violent conflict resolution and empower people to lead nonviolent lives, through Affirmation, Communication, Cooperation, Community, and Creative Conflict Resolution.
