RCS Pinellas & The National Letter Carrier Association - Stamp Out Hunger 2020
Stamp Out Hunger is the nation's largest single-day food drive. In 2019, generous postal carriers collected 80,000 pounds of non-perishable food from the community while on their delivery route. This food is then delivered to community food banks, pantries, and shelters, providing families in need with a lifeline of basic nutrition.
With kids out of school lunch programs and the departure of our winter guests, RCS’s food needs increase greatly during the summer months. The Stamp Out Hunger initiative helps the RCS food bank continue to serve our community throughout the year.
We appreciate your consideration in lending your time and efforts to RCS. It is community supporters like you who are providing help and hope to those in need.
* We welcome families with children age 10 and older to volunteer in the warehouse and 16 and older at the Post Offices
* We take pride in the safety and well-being of all of our volunteers. Closed toe shoes only are to be worn in the RCS Food Bank Warehouse. Flip flops and sandals are strictly prohibited.
* All loading and unloading positions will require volunteers capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. If this is something you're unable to do, please sign up for a food sorting position at the RCS Food Bank

For over 50 years, the Hope Villages of America's mission has been to support our neighbors facing hunger, homelessness, domestic violence, or a lack of basic needs. Staff and volunteers serve individuals and families with effective support and compassion. We help those in need that are the most vulnerable among us get back onto a path of self-sufficiency with dignity.
Hope Villages of America is a cooperative of professional staff members, integral volunteers, and partnering faith congregations of many denominations that have joined together to provide reliable services within Pinellas County. We continue to expand our efforts and outreach to those less fortunate that need a helping hand to rise above the challenges that have befallen them.
Hope Villages is an award-winning charity that maximizes every donation toward the recipients that need it. Our costs and overhead remain low and our effective results are high.
We function through the generosity of the kind-hearted individuals, groups, and businesses that support us and we flow that love directly on to the families that need and deserve another chance to find self-worth, self-improvement and self-sufficiency in today's world.
