Volunteer at Stand Up Placer’s annual Stand Up and Dance event! The event will be held on Saturday, March 21st at the Orchard Creek Lodge in Lincoln, CA. The evening will include dinner & drinks, a silent and live auction, and a dance competition featuring 10 business and community leaders who have been training for the past 8 weeks with dancers from Placer County. Although the event will have both a silent and live auction, the dance competition is the main event! We are looking for volunteers to help set up, check in guests, work at the bar, sell drink and raffle tickets, and clean up.

Description
Stand Up Placer is dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Placer County. Volunteers are imperative to helping us accomplish our goals as an agency and in giving the support that is needed to our clients. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities that include Crisis Line Counselor, Clerical Assistant, Community Outreach Presenter, Legal Advocate, Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), Group Facilitator, Handy Person, Thrift Store Associate, and Event Assistant. Those that wish to work directly with clients will need to undergo our 68-hr Crisis Intervention Training. The curriculum for this training is mandated by the Office of Emergency Services. The training is offered at NO-COST to volunteers and is a great asset to anyone seeking a career or pursuing a degree in law enforcement, social work, social services, psychology, sociology, counseling, etc. Volunteering with Stand Up Placer will give you hands on experience.
